Since 1994, the Advertising Self-Regulatory Board, which has been founded by the members of Advertisers Association, the Turkish Association of Advertising Agencies and media, has been requesting the correction of advertisements that they find to be in violation of the International Code of Advertising Practice. It fulfills this function in a manner that is not based on legal requirements but as a consequence of its commitments to the society and with the conscience of the responsibilities it has against the society.
Mission of self regulation in advertisements;
Performing the marketing communication in accordance with rules that are based on international resources, provision of its continuity and increasing the conscious of self regulation,
Termination or correction of advertisements against rules without need for public audit by the self-audit of the trio of advertisers - advertising agencies - media,
with the conscious of the fact that the trio of advertising the advertiser- the advertising agency - media has social responsibilities against the consumer and that the concept of protecting the consumer will be for the benefit of the trio in the long run.
The Advertising Self-Regulatory Board (RÖK), with the participation of the trio of advertiser - advertising agency - media, aims to continue with its proactive and continuous efforts for the provision of legal, ethic, correct and honest advertisements.
These efforts will increase the confidence in advertisements, which will be for the benefit of the trio of advertisers - advertising agencies - media.
The Advertising Self-Regulatory Board is an ethical service platform, having been established with the participation of the Advertisers Association, the Turkish Association of Advertising Agencies and media institutions. It does not have a judicial personality.
